Westside

Jacksonville's Westside, across the St. Johns River from Mandarin and Southside, is home to some of the most family-friendly and affordable neighborhoods in the metro area. Like Riverside and Avondale, the Westside is a well established community, though there are more newer and builder home options sprouting up to the west and south. There's a small-town, rural atmosphere with large lots, big yards and natural unspoiled pine forests reaching southwest to small, lakeside villages like Keystone Height, and Middleburg which is about an hour's drive to Gainesville, home of the University of Florida and the infamous "Gators".
