Fleming Island

This self-contained community lies south of the Naval Air Station on SR 17 just north of Green Cove Springs, and is the choice community for many civilian and active-duty personnel employed at the base. Fleming Island has many family-friendly communities like Eagle Harbor and Fleming Island Plantation. The community boasts a great school system, as well as every shopping convenience one can imagine. You will find many of the locals chilling out at the Mellow Mushroom any evening listening to music, enjoying a glass of wine and lively conversation with close friends and family. Many of the communities surround Dr'’s Lake which offers water access to the St Johns River.
